James Helms is responsible for overseeing the design and innovation of every user touch-point for Intuit’s professional tax and accounting products, from marketing to care, for Quickbooks Accountant Practice Management, ProConnect Tax Online, Intuit Link, Lacerte and ProSeries.
As a member of the ProConnect Group senior leadership team, James serves as a catalyst for innovation, championing and facilitating Intuit’s brand of design thinking: Design for Delight. His team is responsible for uncovering insights to improve and reimagine products and services across Intuit’s financial product and platform ecosystem for accountants powering small business success.
He’s also a contributor to the Intuit Design system, delivering the benefits of time, money and confidence to customers in our ecosystem in collaboration with designers and developers across Intuit.
Prior to Intuit, James was Director of Experience Strategy at Bottle Rocket, an international, multi-disciplinary mobile studio that connects future-focused brands to their customers through mobile experiences. There he oversaw the strategy and development of iPhone, iPad and Android apps for Coke, Showtime, Starwood Hotels, BET, HGTV, Food Network, Bravo and Fox News.
Over 15 years, as a consulting Creative Director for the Parking Spot, James developed and maintained the memorable and enduring brand identity that helped the company grow from two locations in 1998 to a 38-location, 21-airport footprint and approximately $.5 billion.
